At Happily Ever After Childcare, your peace of mind is our priority. To ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone, please review our booking policies and frequently asked questions below.

• A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total balance is required to secure your date.
   
• No deposit = no booking confirmation. Dates are not held without payment.
   
• Remaining balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to the event. If you fail to pay the balance within that specific time frame your 30% is not refundable and your booking will be cancelled.
   
• Minimum services we offer:  The Twilight Care Package of 2 hours
   
• We recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially during wedding and holiday seasons.
   

• Payments can be made via credit/debit card or approved online payment link (sent via invoice).
   
• Overtime hours (beyond contracted time) will be billed at $75/hour per caregiver, rounded up to the next half hour.
   
• Late payment or unpaid balance after the event will incur a $50 late fee plus any collection costs.
   

To protect our team and ensure fairness for all clients:

• Cancellations made 30 days prior to the event will receive 50% credit toward a future booking (valid for 6 months) with possibility of extension.
   
• Cancellations made less than 7–13 days of the event forfeit the deposit.
   
• If Happily Ever After Childcare must cancel due to emergency circumstances, all payments will be refunded in full or credited toward a future date.
   

Your children’s safety is our top priority.

• All staff members are Live-Scan background checked through the State of California.
   
• Every caregiver is CPR and First Aid certified.
   
• Our team receives ongoing training in early childhood development, event safety, and positive play practices.
   

We maintain safe, age-appropriate caregiver-to-child ratios:

• Ages 1–3 years: 1 adult per 4 children
   
• Ages 4–7 years: 1 adult per 6 children
   
• Ages 8–12 years: 1 adult per 8–10 children
   

Additional caregivers may be required for larger groups or mixed-age events.

• Parents must disclose any allergies, medical needs, or behavioral notes at the time of booking.
   
• Children showing signs of illness (fever, vomiting, rash, or contagious condition) will not be admitted into care.
   
• We are not authorized to administer medication unless prior written consent is provided.
   

• Travel fees may apply depending on your area of service.
   
• Setup and teardown (45-60 minutes) are included in your package. At no additional charge.
